Privacy Information Notice – for LMG Logistics’ Lifetime Mortgage Gateway site

In providing the information services on the LMG website and the ancillary services, LMG Logistics Limited (“we” us” or “our“) is a data controller, either acting alone on in conjunction with its partners in the LMG solution.  Our Company House registration number is: 13002783, and our offices are at 166 Old Brompton Road, London, England, SW5 0BA.

This policy sets out the basis on which we will collect and use personal data, whether the personal data is collected directly by us, or is shared with us by our third-party partners. Questions concerning the policy, or our use of personal data can be sent to

1 How information is collected:

Casual visitors to our website are not asked to provide any specific personal data, although we do collect anonymised or partly anonymised information to monitor performance, usage and the operation of the website.  This information includes:

  1. a) technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information (where you are registered user) browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform; and
  2. b) information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our site; items viewed or searched for; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page.

The bespoke evaluation requires a minimum data set to be able to perform the calculation, and we will required certain information in order to enter into a contract with you.  The information that is required to perform the lease extension calculation is date of birth and gender of the current leaseholder, remaining duration of the lease; current leaseholder’s period of occupation; current value of debt outstanding on the lease, the address and other details of the property. Users will either input the information themselves, or will instruct a third party to do so on their behalf.

Customer information where individuals enter into a contractual relationship with us to provide services, and sign up to our customer agreement, we will collect contact information (including address, email and telephone numbers), details of the property (including information necessary to complete a bespoke evaluation) and financial information to take a payment where an individual contracts with us to provide the service.  Where there are joint owners, it is the responsibility of the individual providing information to obtain permission from other owners to provide personal information to us.

Enquiries from professionals seeking an evaluation on behalf of a client will be asked to complete their full name and company that they work for, and an email address to contact them about the enquiry of the valuation. By submitting information on their leaseholder client, the professional enquirer confirms that they have appropriate consent for LMG to use the information

Business Partnerswe collect and process contact information for individuals working for our business partners as part of the overall solution that is offered to customers.

We do not collect special categories of personal data, however, we acknowledge that certain users of our information may fall within protected or vulnerable groups. If the way that the information is being used is not clear, please contact us for more information:

  1. The categories of personal information used

Information about leaseholders is collected and processed to manage a customer contract between us, and provide our service to the leaseholder/s. Certain information may also be shared with our partners to enable the enfranchisement process.

We will have contact information for our business partners including names, email and work addresses, and telephone numbers for dealing with enquiries and to follow up specific contractual provisions. This is set out in more detail in our contracts with our partners.

We will hold information that is input into the evaluation calculator to store an indicative valuation assessment which can be used to support recommendations for the LMG solution offered.

Information which is collected via cookies which are placed on your computer when using the site use partly- anonymized data by reference to your IP address. We do not use this information to identify an individual.

3          LMG’s use of personal data

Our primary use of personal data is to support the end-to-end solution to facilitate access to a lifetime mortgage for qualifying leaseholder as part of the professional team of advisors, and in particular to provide the bespoke evaluation to support the contract for service with a customer. This may be as part of a service that we have agreed under a contract with the leaseholder, or under a contract an individual has with one of our partners or for their own personal use. Information is collected and shared between partners to enable more efficient management of a lease extension process from start to finish.

Where an individual voluntarily submits information into the extension calculator, this is done with their consent. Where a professional submits information, they confirm that they have permission from their client to share information with us.

We are processing personal data to provide our services, manage customer contracts, comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, and for our legitimate business interests in managing and developing our service, including monitoring the status of applications that have been made following use of our calculation app or a referral to a partner to progress an extension to determine whether we are entitled to fees from our business partners.

We use the aggregated statistical information for our legitimate business purposes to operate the website and keep the site and calculator accurate and up to date including monitoring and improving our services.  This information is also used to ensure that content is presented effectively, troubleshoot or test the services and to keep the website and services secure.

The calculation is provided free of charge, but our service to enable the enfranchisement is covered by the fees we charge our clients. We also charge commission payments from partners where a successful application is made. Details of these payments are set out in our customer contracts or on request.


LMG will shall personal information, including details of the bespoke evaluation with our professional partners who are undertaking work on behalf of a leaseholder in connection with an extension application. This is a two-way relationship, and our partners will share all details relevant to the processing of an application for enfranchisement or application for lending including details progress of the application – but we will not be provided with personal financial fact finds.

We may disclose personal data to third parties: (i) to comply with any legal or regulatory requirements on us or on partners connected with the LMG solution; (ii) to enforce our terms and conditions or protect the rights or property of LMG; (iii) in the event that we sell or buy assets in which case personal data may be disclosed or transferred in connection with that specific arrangement.

5          Data Storage and Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures designed to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, use or accessed without authority, and to prevent data from being altered or disclosed inappropriately.

Information which is shared between LMG and relevant partners who are supporting an individual application for a lease extension or related finance is governed by specific contractual, technical and organisational measures in accordance with the law.

Personal data that is held by LMG is stored in the UK. Data which is processed by our business partners may be stored on other locations around the world.

6          Data Retention

We will continue to hold personal data for so long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. By law, and to comply with regulatory requirements, certain information will need to be retained for at least 6 years following completion of the transaction. Where you only request an evaluation and do not engage with any LMG partners, your evaluation will be held for 2 years.
